are probably Jacob and Melissa.

Emily's
first birthday party in late June. We were on vacation for her actual birthday (June
13th) so we celebrated later. She enjoyed opening gifts but not wearing the birthday
hat.

Melissa
and Jacob took swimming lessons this year again. Melissa at home was making herself
ready and the rest are at the Lombard pool.

Grandpa
and Kay took Mommy and the kids to the Wild West Town in Union for a day of fun. The
kids really liked the train cars you moved by cranking the handle and the canoes that
pushed themselves around. They also liked playing in the water panning for gold.

Daddy
took the kids downtown on Metra too have lunch and go up the Sears Tower. The top
row has the Metra station, the globes in the Sears Tower lobby, the inside of Tutto's
resturant that's inside an old train car, the horse statue next to the Board of Trade
across the street from my office. The middle two rows are views from the top of the
Sears Tower. The bottom row is pics next to a nice flower bed downtown and Emily
enjoying the ride home on the train.

Various parts of the Renaissanse fair - the kids
love throwing rocks into water!

Melissa was really brave and tried this bungee cord
ride - she got really high and was never scared!

Melissa got her arm painted and got a flower
headress.

All three kids love playing on the big pirate ship
play area they have in the middle of the fair.

Daddy let the kids take some rides which they
enjoyed. All rides are hand powered so they are pretty kewl.

Daddy
took the kids to the Renaissanse fair which is always fun. The kids were really good
and we had lots of fun.

Pictures
of the aftermath of a huge storm that came through Lombard in August 2007. There
were reports of funnel clouds going almost directly over our house. I came home from
work to find the power out and everyone hiding the basement due to the tornado warnings.
Oddly, Metra had no delays and downtown was almost unaffected. The storm came
through Lombard right at 3pm which is pick up time for the kids at school. Everyone
was trapped at school until it calmed down enough to go home. There was a lot of
damage but it looked like the most severe damage was right down our street. The
storm was on a Thursday and we didn't get power back until Sunday after church.
Those were three rough sleeping days. We stayed home the whole time and
survived ok. Thankfully we had no damage to our house, cars or anything, but we
might lose the tree in the front yard as it cracked pretty severely in the storm.
Pretty crazy few days but God kept us safe.
