Here's
some pics from a trip we (daddy and the kids) made to Chicago's Field Museum in October,
2006. Even though it was pretty cold out, the kids loved playing in the water wall
that's inbetween Soldier Field and the Field Museum.

| Pics of
the main hall including pictures of the famous T-Rex skeleton, Sue, some elephants and the
King Tut exhibit, which we didn't see. |

Pictures
from the 2nd floor overlook of the main lobby. They were setting up for a big event
that night.

Various
exhibits inside the museum. I hadn't been to the Field Museum in many, many years so
my memory of it was really vague. As a kid, I remember finding in boring, but as an
adult, it's really very nice - they have a ton of fantastic exhibits, all superbly done
and amazing to look at. This is just a very small sampe - many exhibits are very
difficult to photograph. I liked the hall of huge Totem Poles and the recreated
Egyptian Tomb. While we walked through that, Melissa asked if Jesus was buried
there... too funny.

The
Field Museum McDonald's has an outdoor patio so we ate outside and the kids were happy.

The
kids enjoying various interactive exhibits - Melissa liked drawing water out of the river
- it was pretty hard work though! I wasn't really sure how the kids would react to
the Museum but they really enjoyed it... they still ask to go back to the "Dinosaur
Museum" so I think it was a hit. 8^)

The
kids playing on the front steps, some shots of Soldier Field and the Museum on the way
back to the car.

Pictures
of some Chicago buildings and landmarks on the drive home... I work downtown every
day but rarely take pictures of the city that I've lived in my entire life. So many
kewl things in Chicago - it's a great place to live. 8^)
